Hello Level 5 students!

Here's another website we thought you might enjoy. It's free and has lots of useful language learning stuff. The section "words and their stories" is especially interesting, and includes information on slang and language of popular culture.

This website also has news stories that you can listen to and read, and these can be very good English practice. You should keep in mind, however, that the Voice of America is a program of the U.S. government, so some stories may have political "spin" (meaning the story might be told in a different way than it is in other news sources, so that it makes the U.S. government look good). Remember, no matter where you get your news from, it's always good to think critically about what you read.
